From successor to advisor.
In 1985, Eric took over his father's business. He knows what it's like to grow into a role someone else built, and to be both son and managing director at once.
Almost forty years later, he was on the other side, deciding the future of his own companies. So he recognizes the urge to put it off: you know it has to happen, but the choice doesn't get any easier.
He also spent 28 years on the board of the dealer association, first regionally and later on the national board. He saw the car industry change up close, including when Peugeot became part of Stellantis. As the owner of four staffed and unstaffed filling stations, he has also experienced his share of changes and challenges.
Through Amcot, he now puts that experience to work for other business owners. Independently, because he earns nothing from the outcome. And honestly, because he'd rather tell you in time what you don't want to hear than string you along.
Eric has a network of fellow Register Adviseurs Bedrijfsopvolging and experts in financing, business succession, and business continuation throughout the Netherlands. He can call on them wherever needed or when a better geographical fit is useful.
